Suzuki: all the official information from the Geneva Motor Show 2010

a49At the Geneva Motor Show, Suzuki unveiled three new to the European market: Crossover Grand Vitara, Kizashi and Swift Plug-In Hybrid. The range of SUV was enriched with the Japanese version of Crossover-free outer rear wheel, thus reducing the length of 20 cm. The Grand Vitara in this new styling is more suitable for use in the city and is also approved for the door with decorative chrome.

Suzuki Grand Vitara crossover will debut in Italy in early summer and will be sold only with a 5-door body, combined with the engine in a single version 1.9 DDiS. Instead, the Suzuki Kizashi is a sedan that is placed at the intersection of the segment C and D, already on sale in the United States. At the fair has been exposed to the Swiss version for Europe when provided only with the 2.4 VVT petrol engines from 178 hp and 230 Nm of peak torque, in conjunction with the CVT automatic transmission and four wheel drive system i – AWD.

Finally, in Geneva was also exposed the Suzuki Swift Hybrid Plug-In. This is the same concept car presented in preview at the Tokyo Motor Show 2009, driven by a heat engine of a cylinder 660 capable of providing a power of 54 bhp. The electric engine, instead, develops 75 hp and can walk 20 km in an independent way. Moreover, during the march, the heat engine helps to recharge the electrical system which, thanks to the Plug-In, can also be regenerated by taking home.
